Job Title: Pre-Award / Post-Award Grant Analyst
Position Summary:
The Grant Analyst will provide comprehensive financial and administrative support across the grant lifecycle. This role is responsible for preparing and managing program-wide financial reports spanning multiple grants and funding sources, developing financial projections, preparing incoming and outgoing sub-contract budgets and associated documents, and ensuring accurate monitoring of expenditures. The analyst will also lead the preparation of budgets and related documentation for grant applications, working closely with investigators, the PI, and administrative staff to ensure compliance with institutional, sponsor, and federal requirements.
Hours and Location: This is a part-time position that will be paid via an hourly consulting agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and maintain program-wide financial reports across multiple grants, contracts, and funds.
Conduct financial projections and provide regular updates to program leadership.
Develop and prepare budgets, budget justifications, and associated documents for grant applications, renewals, and sub-contracts (incoming and outgoing).
Monitor and reconcile grant expenditures to ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements.
Provide guidance to the PI and staff on grant administration policies and procedures.
Support pre-award and post-award activities to ensure timely and accurate submissions, reporting, and financial management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
2+ years of experience in grant administration, research finance, or related field.
Strong knowledge of U.S. grant policies and regulations is required; additional knowledge of European and Israeli grant policies and regulations is preferred.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
